My Tone
“The tone of my work is raw with a purpose. Listeners should feel like they are part of my conscience. I love the funny, honest, and vulnerable moments in a conversation. I string those elements together to paint a narrative picture of our world.”
My Passion
“It’s about the conversations I get to have. My favorite pastime is to talk and listen, to share cultural references and playful touches of sarcasm in person, on screen, or via audio. If the conversation feels good, we can probably make a podcast from the material.”
My Vibe
“Comedy is the religion I subscribe to. Everything is better when you add a little comedic energy. I don’t burn bridges, and I keep an open mind. When it comes to content, there is as much beauty, if not more, in the collaboration as there is in the final masterpiece. Basically, what I’m saying is if I’m involved, chances are I’m gonna make it a good time.”
Currently, Shaka writes, produces, and hosts radio shows and podcasts on various platforms. His piece “Nice To Meet You Forever” is featured on KCRW. He also writes comedy and consults on various projects for the BBC, HBO, and The New York Times. He is open to additional opportunities, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
